The Mission of the Catholic American Community of St. Patrick’s Church in Rome:
United by our Catholic faith and English language, we celebrate and live together the faith of Saints Peter and Paul founded in this holy city of Rome. We welcome those who come to Rome as pilgrims and tourists seeking to grow in their Catholic faith celebrated in language and ways familiar to them. We reach out to those in our city who depend on others for the compassion that leads to human dignity and opportunity. We join in ecumenical collaboration with those of other Christian traditions to know and live our gospel faith most fully.

Our newest edition of As Romans Do, our periodic guide for pilgrims to Rome, is now available. This 100-page guide to Rome and the Catholic American Community of St. Patrick’s Church is a real treasure. The Paulists currently on staff (Fr. Steve Petroff and Fr. Joe Ciccone) and the entire St. Patrick’s Community are eager to once again welcome pilgrims to Rome, once the current pandemic has passed.
In the meantime, this edition is dedicated to all of you who seek to deepen and enrich your faith by a visit to the Eternal City. It offers varied recommendations for what to see and do, provides opening times and costs for museums and other places of interest, and gives an overview of our parish, our Church and life in Rome. Just send your name and address to Fr. Steve at and he will be happy to mail you a copy. (We do not have an email version.) All we ask is that you consider sending us a donation to help with postage and to support our ministry here at St. Patrick’s.
