Lent 2019 (plus a tentative Full Day Trip to Florence on Wednesday, April 3)

Five Morning Walking Tours: March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2

Tuesday Mornings, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (time approximate)

Requested Donation: 10 Euro for each tour

Reservations are necessary. Fees are collected on the tour.

 

Tuesday, March 5, 2019: San Pietro in Vincoli and Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses, Santa Maria ai Monti, San Francesco di Paola and Sant'Agata

Tuesday, March 12, 2019: Basilica of Saint Paul and Tre Fontane. Includes the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and the Churches of Tre Fontane.

Tuesday, March 19, 2019: Piazza del Popolo and Beyond. Santa Maria del Popolo, Santa Maria dei Miracoli, San Giacomo, Gesu e Maria, S. Carlo, S. Lorenzo in Luchina.

Tuesday, March 26, 2019: Santa Maria Maggiore and Vicinity. Includes the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Prassede and Santa Pudenziana, and more.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019: The San Lorenzo Spiritual Walk. San Lorenzo Fuori Le Muri and Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, and possibly the Campo Veranno Cemetary.

Except for the day trip, all tours begin at the Piazza della Repubblica in front of the Farmacia (Pharmacy with the large Green Cross) at 9:30 AM. Fr. Greg will have a sign. It’s right next to the Metro entrance, left side if you are facing the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. If you get lost call (+39 ) 347.367.9025.  Tour routes will be announced in February!

These tours involve a great deal of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.  And don’t worry, there’s always a cappuccino break!
