Weddings at the Vatican : General Wedding Info

Because of an increase in our parish responsibilities we are no longer accepting requests for weddings at St. Peter's Basilica.  We also do not have any information about weddings at the Church of Sant'Anna in Vatican City.

Many Catholics are interested in being married at St. Peter's Basilica. In the Vatican City State (i.e.: St. Peter's Basilica) the civil and religious processes used to be combined in one liturgy.  However, now Americans and other nationalities are required to be married civillly in their own countries before their religious wedding at St. Peter's.  Please note that you do not have to go through us to have a wedding at St. Peter's. If your priest lives in Rome, he can make the arrangements for you. However, many couples ask for our assistance, since either their priest lives outside of Italy, or they wish us to preside at their wedding.

Donate

To make donations to St. Patrick's American Community in Rome, you can click on the secure PayPal/Credit card "DONATE" link below. If you need a tax credit letter, it is best not to use PayPal "DONATE", but make your donations by checks made out to “Paulist Fathers”, a US entity, and Fr. Greg can issue a letter for your taxes. You can mail this check or you can give US dollars in person. We hope this inconvenience won't discourage you from donating to the St. Patrick's American Community as we are much in need of your support.
