Spiritual Walking Tours
Our next Spiritual Walking Tours will begin in September 2026.
Our next schedule of Spiritual Walking Tours are Three Tuesdays in September (15, 22 and 29) and Three Monday in October (5, 12, and 19). The tentative schedule is below.
We are unable to offer these tours during April, May and June due to our parish responsibilities: Holy Week and Easter, our Religious Education Programs, our celebrations of First Communion, Confirmation and Marriage.
All Tours are: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (time approximate). Requested Donation: 10 Euro for each tour. Some tours require extra for entrance fees as noted below. Reservations are necessary. (gapparcel@paulist.org). Fees are collected on the tour. All tours begin at the Piazza della Repubblica (exact location will be announced) at 9:30 AM. Fr. Greg will have a sign. Please do not meet at the first Church as the itineraries and times can change).
Tentative Schedule for Three Tuesdays in September:
Tuesday, September 15, 2026: The Aventine Hill Churches of San Saba, Santa Sabina, Sant’Alessio, Santa Prisca and San Anselmo.
Tuesday, September 22, 2025: The Trastevere Churches of Santa Maria in Trastevere, Santa Cecilia, San Crisogono and San Francesco a Ripa. The tour ends with Mass in the Crypt of Santa Cecilia.
Tuesday, September 29, 2025: Basilica of Santa Priscilla near the Villa Ada on Via Salaria. Extra fee: 10 euros. Includes Mass in the Catacombs.
Tentative Schedule for Three Mondays in October:
Monday, October 5, 2026: Basilica of Saint Paul and Tre Fontane, Includes the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and the Churches of Tre Fontane.
Monday, October 12, 2026: The Churches of Quattro Coronati, San Clemente and the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and its Holy Door. (Plus 10 euro entrance fee for S. Clemente)
Monday, October 19, 2026: The Church of the Gesu and Nearby Churches: We will tour the Church of the Gesu, where Jesuit founder St. Ignatius of Loyola is buried, and the Churches of San Marco, Santa Maria in Campitelli, Sant’Ambrogio and the Turtle Fountain at the Piazza Mattei.
We can only offer these scheduled group tours. Unfortunately we are not able to offer individual tours, or other group tours.
These tours involve a great deal of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. And don’t worry, there’s always a cappuccino break!!!

Saturday, March 18, 2023: Basilica Dodici Apostoli, Chiesa del Gesù, Sant’Andrea delta Valle, Chiesa Nuova
