Dear Parishioners, Religious Education Families and Alumni,

Greetings to all of you. In the past 18 months we have slowly come out of the post-pandemic schedule and have returned to our regular Mass schedule and church opening hours. And this is because of you!

Many of you who are part of our parish or are alumni now living in the US, have been extremely generous this year. However, out of about 400 parish families, only 15-20 percent are contributing on a regular basis. Our parish cannot survive, or at least cannot guarantee to be able to continue with some of our on-going services, unless more of you contribute each month. We are aware that in the Italian culture, asking for contributions to your parish is not the norm, but for us we need to do this every Fall on Stewardship Sunday, October 20.

Keeping our community connected and sustainable requires an effort from each and every one of us. We have made many cuts, but with cost-of-living increases this coming year and completion of our restroom and office renovations (including the handicap chair lift at the church entrance) we see a considerable rise in overall budget needs. Fortunately, we have already set aside part of the funds necessary for these works thanks to a number of generous donations made by some individuals. However, the parish needs a solid base of regular contributions to ensure it can cover its everyday operating expenses, as well as any additional unexpected costs that invariably arise especially while works are on-going, which is why we ask for your help in supporting us financially.

Costs: New members to the parish council are always surprised when they go over the parish budget and see what our costs really are.

We are not financially supported by the Italian or US Church or government.
Music costs average €350 per weekend.
We are responsible for paying all the church utilities bills plus maintenance, security, cleaning, administration, bookkeeping, communications, employee costs, gardening, file storage, printing and books.
We follow the Italian employment laws for our employees which includes INPS contributions (social security) and maintaining an account for their TRF (pension), plus a 13^th month additional salary plus extra INPS in December.

How you can help:

Make a financial pledge for this fiscal year of €20 or $22 US per week per household. This translates to an annual pledge of €1,040 or approximately $1,150 US. If you feel you cannot make the suggested donation, then pledge to give a set percentage of your income. A one-time annual donation of any amount will also help.
Automatically donate through your bank (even when you’re not here, the parish is!). For Italian Banks, use a Bank Transfer (bonifico) to our Credem account: Chiesa di S. Patrizio a Villa Ludovisi. Cari Parrocchiani,

Un caro saluto a tutti voi. Negli ultimi 18 mesi siamo lentamente usciti dai ritmi e dalle restrizioni post-pandemia e siamo tornati al nostro regolare programma di messe e di orari di apertura della Chiesa. E questo è anche merito vostro! Infatti, molti dei nostri parrocchiani sono stati estremamente generosi quest’anno!

Tuttavia, su circa 400 famiglie che fanno parte della nostra Parrocchia, solo il 15-20% contribuisce regolarmente. La nostra Parrocchia non può sopravvivere, o almeno non può continuare a garantire tutti i servizi attuali, a meno che un numero maggiore di voi non contribuisca ogni mese. Siamo consapevoli che nella cultura italiana la richiesta di contributi da parte della propria parrocchia non sia la norma; per noi, invece, è un appuntamento ricorrente, ogni autunno, con la domenica di Stewardship che per il 2024 è fissata al prossimo 20 ottobre.

Mantenere la nostra comunità connessa e sostenibile richiede un contributo da parte di ognuno di noi. Abbiamo già effettuato molti tagli ma, nel prossimo anno, con l’inevitabile aumento del costo della vita e il completamento dei lavori di ristrutturazione dei nostri uffici (inclusa la rampa per accesso disabili all’ingresso della Chiesa) e dei bagni, le nostre esigenze finanziarie subiranno un sensibile aumento. Fortunatamente abbiamo già accantonato parte delle somme necessarie per questi lavori di ristrutturazione; ciò malgrado necessitiamo del vostro aiuto per sostenerci economicamente, nonché per far fronte a eventuali spese extra che dovessero rendersi necessarie in corso d’opera..

Siamo responsabili del pagamento di tutte le spese della Chiesa: manutenzione, sicurezza, pulizia, amministrazione, contabilità, comunicazioni, liturgia e musica, giardinaggio, archiviazione di file, stampa e libri.
Seguiamo le leggi italiane sul lavoro per i nostri dipendenti che includono benefici retributivi e fondi pensione, più la 13ma mensilità aggiuntiva a dicembre.

Come fornire aiuto:
